You always want what you don’t have.
I had a dream last night where I was going to make a decision to go right back to Korea again to teach for a 3rd year. The decision felt solid in weight, I was excited to be with my girlfriend again and live the exciting lifestyle known as the expat in Seoul, South Korea again. The wake of buzzing cars, Korean chatter, fantastic long summer fun, funky fashion Korean styles and the weirdness of the 30 million inhabitants (size of Canada) in one little dot.
However, I woke up.
I remembered that the first time I sat down in my lofty apartment, I told myself that everything here was just a fantasy. Having my own place, going out every weekend, an easy but challenging job and conquering unknown territory will all disappear once the contract is done. My friends in Toronto are buying property here, purchasing investments and many are starting to get married.
So I’m changing my blog now over to thoughts and tidbits of my life living here in Toronto. I believe it’s another adventure here that I should be excited for and take an opportunity to express and share it with you all. I will have some Korea posts as it interests me and some of my followers still in the ROK.
Oh and guess what, Jessica will be coming in April. I will write more about us =)
Peace Korea.
